The Department of Commerce was established in the year 1977. The department provides students with a strong academic foundation in commerce, accountancy, business and related areas.
The B.Com programme is a full-time regular undergraduate programme of three years duration consisting of six semesters, with a sanctioned student strength of 64 seats. The department also offers the Post Graduate M.Com programme, which was started in the year 2017 with a sanctioned strength of 20 students.
The department places emphasis on academic excellence, practical learning, communication skills and employability. Students are encouraged to develop the knowledge and competencies required for higher education and professional opportunities.
