About VSSGAC
VSS Government Arts College, situated at Pulankurichi in Tamil Nadu, is a co-educational institution managed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The college was established in 1972 to provide quality higher education to the people of Pulankurichi and the surrounding areas. The college is equipped with modern facilities in a peaceful and supportive campus environment. Affiliated to Alagappa University, the college is also recognized by the University Grants Commission. It offers undergraduate programmes in Arts, Science and Commerce. With financial support, the present college building was constructed and was inaugurated by the Honorable Education Minister Thiru. Anbazhagan on 23.08.2000. Late Thiru. T. Krishnan, Honorable Ex. Minister and M.L.A., contributed an additional amount of Rs.10 Lakhs from his Constituency Development Fund during 1999-2000 for upgrading the Computer Science Department. The M.Com. postgraduate course was commenced in the academic year 2005-2006.
